Biography

I joined Quinlivan & Hughes, P.A. as an Attorney in February of 2021. I practice primarily in the areas of civil litigation, with a focus on employment and government liability, including representing cities, counties, and townships, in addition to corporations and individuals. I represent my clients in all stages of the litigation process and regularly advise on employment-related matters, including policies and procedures, hiring, firing, and discipline, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and charges of discrimination.

I am active and hold, or have held, leadership positions with professional organizations, including serving as the Co-Chair for the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association’s New Defense Lawyers Committee and as a Delegate for the Seventh Judicial District Bar Association. I received the Deb Oberlander New Lawyer Award from the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association in 2022 for my leadership, professionalism, skills, and advocacy in the practice of law.

My parents were both police officers with the St. Paul Police Department, and their service to the public inspired me from a young age. I always felt fortunate to have a strong support system that encouraged me to pursue a career that allows me to utilize my skills to help those in need.

I graduated from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2019. While in law school, I served as an Assistant Editor for the Mitchell Hamline Law Review, a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Richard Kyle in Ramsey County, and a Certified Student Attorney for the Ramsey County District Attorney’s Office. I also volunteered as a Clinic Assistant for the Volunteer Lawyers Network in Hennepin County.
